My family and I have been members of Old St. Andrew’s Church since 2005. We live in Bloomfield only a quarter mile from the church in the circa 1787 “Ambrose Todd House” which served as the rectory for OSA for many years. This connection led us to OSA, but the loving and accepting community cemented our bond. Today, Old St. Andrew’s is not only our neighbor but our family.
Over the years I have served on many committees within the church and especially enjoy connecting with our community in outreach and youth formation. As a mother with two children, I have been involved with church school since first joining the parish, starting off as a volunteer assistant teacher which progressed to head teacher and director. I am Safe Church trained and have attended numerous seminars on church curriculums including Seasons of the Spirit, Godly Play and Confirm Not Conform.
I believe children not only represent our leaders of tomorrow but also where our parish is today. It is my focus to encourage and excite the possibilities that lie within the youth at OSA. Young or old, we are all important in the body of Christ; we all have a purpose.
