52 Kids Foundation: A Presentation by Seth Desrochers and Frank Woitera

The 52 Kids Foundation (http://www.52kids.org) is a grass-roots not-for-profit foundation initiated in 2005 by two teenagers, Frank Woitera who is Ugandan, and Jagger Koerner, an American from Burlington, Vermont after one year of volunteer community service in Uganda. 52 Kids Foundation is registered as a 501c3 c non-profit organization in the U.S.

The work is focused in Kamuli, eastern Uganda and advances the social and economic transformation of young people and their communities. The main basis is “Three E,” Functional Education, Empowerment, and Employment as tools to aid the transformation.

Our Mission is to “Inspire young people to do great things.” We believe that education is a stepping-stone to greater things. With strong community support, good health and nutrition, our students become empowered to reach their full potential and ultimately establish and sustain economic independence.

Seth visited UGANDA in 2017 and had a life-changing experience. Seth Desrochers and Frank Woitera are excited to visit OSA and lead a presentation on Sunday, September 22 after the 10:00 a.m. liturgy to share more information about the mission of the
52 Kids Foundation and seek our support.
